First Visit at Refine? Things to know

Welcome! We're excited to see you soon. To ensure your appointment runs smoothly & make your treatment & experience at Refine exceptional, please review the following before your first visit.

    1. Comfortable clothing is recommended. Please avoid tight collars, hats, or headwear for scalp treatments when possible. 
    2. Please arrive on time for your appointment to allow proper consultation & treatment time. 5-10 minutes prior to scheduled appointment is recommended when possible. Late arrivals may results in a shortened treatment to respect other clients' scheduled appointments. Please contact us ahead of time if your arrival may be affected.
    3. To maintain a calm, clean & safe treatment environment, we kindly ask that children & additional guests not attend appointments unless they are receiving a scheduled service. Our treatments involve medical-grade equipment & require a quiet, controlled space for everyone's comfort & safety. Please contact us ahead of time for any unexpected events. 
    4. Please inform us of any medical conditions, medications, pregnancy or recent treatments prior to your appointment. If you are feeling unwell, have a skin infection or an active scalp or body condition, please notify us as your appointment may need to be rescheduled.
    5. Keep the treatment area clean and dry. This allows us to work safely, hygienically & effectively from the start of your appointment. 
    • Skin Treatments: clean skin with minimal to no makeup. SPF is perfectly fine, but please avoid heavy foundation, powders, setting sprays & eye/lip makeup when possible. Avoid active skincare 48 hrs before your treatment unless instructed otherwise. 
    • Scalp Treatments: Freshly-washed hair with no styling products, dry shampoo, oils or sprays.
    • If you're unsure about a porduct, feel free to ask us ahead of time. 

    Appointment Policies

    To ensure we can provide the highest level of care and accommodate all clients fairly, we kindly ask that you review the following policies: 

    1.  Any appointment changes, reschedules, cancellations, or no-shows made within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment time are subject to a $50 late change fee. If you need to make a change within 24 hours, please contact the spa as early as possible; we will try to accommodate if there is availability. This policy allows us to manage our schedule effectively and respect the time reserved specifically for you and our other clients. (Note: applicable GST will be added).
    2. More than two no-shows may affect future bookings for Refine services.

    We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. This will allow us to continue offering personalized, high-quality treatments in a timely, respectful manner with exceptional results.
